BEASTPANTRY
Fighting food insecurity in the community where it all started.

WHAT IS THE BEAST PANTRY?
Feeling hungry is something we can all relate to, and seeing our neighbors struggle to feed their families is what pushes us to act. We show up where support is needed most, helping people avoid the choice between feeding their families and making a car payment or keeping a roof over their heads.
The Beast Pantry got its start in late 2020, in Jimmy's hometown of Greenville, North Carolina, when food insecurity in the community started climbing. With a hub-and-spoke distribution model, we now reach 20+ communities across Eastern North Carolina, including food deserts that don't have a traditional food pantry to turn to.
Since we started, the Beast Pantry and our food rescue partners have given more than 60 million pounds of food to people who need it.
FROM A WAREHOUSETO MILLIONS FED
What started as a single warehouse-turned-food pantry in Greenville now consistently distributes approximately 80,000 meals each month to local families in need.
We took the first crucial step by establishing a warehouse-turned-food pantry and kickstarting our efforts to combat hunger.
We began securing donations, acquiring food supplies, procuring trucks for transportation, and organizing mobile distributions.
We prioritize accessibility by strategically conducting food drives at schools and other centrally located areas to ensure ease of access for community members most in need, and expand our reach to encompass 21 communities across Eastern North Carolina in just our first 4 years of operation.
We partnered with Sharing Excess and successfully rescued millions of pounds of food, broadening distribution to populations in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and New York.
In one of our biggest projects yet, we helped Sharing Excess to acquire the Hunts Point Produce Market in New York City, one of the largest produce markets in the world. As seen in our film “We Gave Away $30 Million In Free Food”.
Beast Pantry in Greenville serves 20+ communities across Eastern North Carolina through a hub-and-spoke distribution model that provides approximately 80,000 meals to families each month.
